Mountain Valley Pipeline

An extension of the controversial Mountain Valley Pipeline has been proposed for North Carolina, potentially opening the door for fracking operations in Rockingham County.
Citizens opposed to the pipeline are organizing early with a gofundme billboard project.

Attend County Commissioners Meetings
and keep telling them what you think about continued commitment to fossil fuels, eminent domain, construction in watershed areas with attendant damage to streams and forests, etc.

VA has filed a lawsuit against MVP over construction practices. We should pay attention to this before decisions are made in NC.

- Stoneville Town Council has passed a resolution against the MVP
 
- The Rockingham County Commissioners  Chairman Kevin Berger has said Commissioners will not take a stand on this matter.
